DARK MOON GATHERING
by Paige Cuccaro

Mattie Bainbridge, as the leader of her werewolf pack is required to select a mate at the next Dark Moon Gathering or they’ll choose one for her. She has to choose a mate or risk the pack being split by lesser males.  Wolves mate for life, but if a purist set his sights on her, they forgo the pesky limitations of a life-mate and make pack polygamy a lifestyle. A purist will stake his claim on every female in the pack married or not, including her mother. Anthony longs Mattie to pick him for her mate but he is a risky choice. Will he follow his purist father’s footsteps? He wants to take care of her and her pack. Will he convince Mattie that he is not a purist like his dad and to give him a chance?

This is the first book I have read by Alison Paige. The attraction between Anthony and Mattie is wonderful and the sex is even more incredible. I like the way that Anthony shows his support and love to Mattie, by letting her lead her pack during the hunt. Mattie shows no fear and tries her best for a partnership that will allow her to be an equal to her mate. If you love to read about werewolves you will enjoy this one. Dark Moon Gathering is a short read and I found myself wishing it was longer for I was enjoying it very much.
