Jaclyn’s Ghost
by Dorlana Vann

Jaclyn Jade is a model who, at the top of her career is murdered. She has died, seen a ghost, found out she is a ghost, and goes to Hell. Charles Charles is a messenger who takes her to his office and explains to her that Hell is not the middle of the Earth, nor is Hell a fire burning for all eternity. Life on Earth is Hell and when you are condemned to Hell, you’re condemned to Earth and to life, not to death. Charles Charles tells Jaclyn that she is an Open-Spirit, which gives her three options. Return to Hell and learn from your mistakes, so you don’t make them again. Remain a spirit and see Hell, but not be able to participate and would just be a spectator. Or to find out the reason she did not make it into Heaven. Jaclyn then finds out there is a catch, a time limit to get into Hell, which is twenty-four hours and then she will be offered her last opportunity to go to Hell. If she refuses, she will be given another twenty-four hours, to strive for Heaven. If the dead line is missed she stays in the middle ground forever.

Logan Smith is a Spectre ghost, which are suppose to go straight to Hell but were missed. They have a predetermined area of existence, which is like a prison and they can only be a spectator. His area is the apartment where Jaclyn was murdered. He agrees to help Jaclyn find out who killed her.

Morgan Reed, who is a psychic and works for the police as a photographer to communicate with ghosts. The police are calling Jaclyn’s death a suicide, but when Morgan hears Jaclyn and Logan’s ghosts speaking she decides to investigate further. They ask for her help to find out who murdered Jaclyn. Morgan decides to risk her career and her relationship to help Jaclyn discover the truth.

Dorlana Vann has written a fascinating mysterious love story about two ghosts, Jaclyn and Logan. The murderer is found and so is true love. I recommend Jaclyn’s Ghost to anyone who enjoys reading ghost stories and am looking to reading more from this author.
