You Belong To Me
by Kimberly Nee
Brenna’s stepfather finds excuses to hit her and she is not brave enough to tell her mother. He tells her he has found someone for her to marry, Viscount Halsted. She thinks Viscount has eyes that are dark bottomless pits with no warmth and doesn’t like the way he looks at her. Later, he comes to her room to rape her. She is rescued by two men who deal with the Viscount and kidnap her. Later she finds out that her mother has hired the two rescuers to take her way, save her from a horrible marriage and to secure a more proper another marriage.
Tony is blackmailed into marrying Brenna. Tony doesn’t want to be married right now and has another in mind when he does marry, but he has no choice. He agrees to marry Brenna, but in name only.
Brenna is a bit on the timid side but lovely to behold, but wait until she gets her spirit back and comes out of her shell. She is a heroine that learns to stand up for herself when she needs to.
Tony is determined to keep Brenna at arms length during the journey from Ireland to America, but finds his feelings for Brenna changing after he almost loses her in a storm at sea. He gets angry at her every time she says she is sorry and tells her she has nothing to fear from him.
Kimberly Nee has written a fantastic love story. Tony and Brenna are drawn to each other. Emotions run from lust to love before they reach America. The trip across the sea is full of action when they hit a storm, you can feel the rain slashing at you as it does Tony and Brenna. You are on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens. This is a book for readers who love to read romance stories abut the hero rescuing the heroine. It includes some action and suspense as well. You Belong to Me is one that readers will be going back to read over again later.
