A Delicious Taboo
by Jennifer Cole

Calen Maxwell and Van Dansk are committed to each other, but want to add Melanie Drake for their third. Unfortunately, their equally committed friends Philip and Jake have the same idea. When Melanie realizes Calen and Van are watching her, wanting her, she’s turned on. But as Jake and Phillip begin to tease her libido as well, it plays havoc with her lust and desire. She’d always assumed her infatuation was one sided. Still, that doesn’t stop her from secretly lusting after the group of friends. After a night of drinking at the gay/bi club where Melanie works, the guys ask her to pick which pair she’d like to go home with. At first, she thinks they’re kidding. She’d love to take them up on their offer, but how could she choose between one couple when she wants both? She views their attention as bartender/customer and nothing more. They’re four gay men in a relationship, and gay men aren’t interested in hooking up with a straight plain Jane woman. Or are they?

When I decided to read this book I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but Jennifer Cole proved me wrong. She’s crafted a beautiful love story. The attraction between the characters leaps off the pages. The tenderness the men showed towards Melanie as they become to understand the childhood torture she endured tugged at my heart. I think the author has done a wonderful job and the ending is splendid! I would definitely say this is a book worth reading more than once.
